Hey Class, excitement is at a fever pitch because plans have now been finalized for your 30th Reunion! A reunion bank account has been set up and most of the class members have now been located. Please give a great round of applause to the Reunion Planning Committee for their tremendous efforts! With assistance from several others, the following folks have worked tirelessly to organize this great and memorable event:

David Ratliff, DVM - Sevierville, TN

John Lay - Bowling Green, KY

Dennis and Ellana (Smith) Wilson - Apopka, FL

Marie Mallette Hurst – Selmer, TN

Diana Abrams Barker and Donna Woods Kennedy from Pickwick

And from Savannah – Carla Alexander Briley, Susan Cromwell, Lisa Devore Stricklin, David Long and Harrison Perry

Thanks to all for your dedication to this effort!

telephone contact in the Savannah area.

As stated earlier, we have found most of our classmates, but we still need to locate some 'lost souls'. Please respond to this e-mail if you have any information on any of the following classmates:

We started with 103 lost and with your help have made great progress finding them, but any further assistance you could give us would be greatly appreciated! There are only 42 left to find … please don't let any of these folks you might know miss out on this great event!

As noted above, we have been informed that William Ayers is deceased, but we have been unable to verify this on Shackelford's site. Can anyone confirm or refute this information. Our aim is to be as accurate as possible with all class news.

For this next short list we need some help from someone in the local Savannah area. We have tried calling these people from Florida with mixed and mostly negative results; for whatever reason these folks will just not return our calls. It may be that they just will not respond to calls from unfamiliar numbers or numbers out of their areas. Please, please, will someone from Savannah call the following classmates and get the rest of their contact information so we can get this news to them:

Lisa Austin - spoke to sister, Vickie, at 731.925.7488 but got no reply from Lisa

Sharon Cherry Ware - 731.885.5880

Gary Dickerson - 731.926.1049

Barbara Ellison - 931.527.3115

Lisa Franks Price - 731.925.8344 - left message with her son, but no return call

Jan Gray - 870.933.0095

Rita Hunt - called mom, Mazie Hunt, at 731.925.5870 and got a fax tone

Johnny Oakley - 731.925.9364 and/or 731.926.3731

Jerry Petty - 256.702.9675

Johnny Petty - 438.7574 - Do not have an area code; could this be a Savannah area cell phone?

Steve Stricklin - 731.925.1115

Alisa Wilkerson Deshazier - 731.925.7305

Some of the class' teachers have been noticed on the fringes of our group. Mrs. Patricia Anglin Roe and Coach Albert Ellison come to mind right off the bat. Coach Ellison (in Clifton - 931.676.5492) has expressed a strong interest in attending the reunion, and Mrs. Roe is a member of the Classmates' page on Facebook. Perhaps the Reunion Planning Committee will take it upon themselves to issue these teachers, and any others who might show an interest, complimentary invitations to our gathering.

There is one special final note for this issue. Any classmate who would like to and could attend the reunion, but is unable to do so because of financial constraints, please respond to this e-mail. Your situation will be considered, and we will do everything possible to see that you can join us for the evening. This will be done privately and confidentially to avoid any embarrassment on your part. No one will ever know how this is arranged or even that it was arranged in the first place. Please do not be shy if you fall into this category … and please do respond.

All of that being said, we are all looking forward to a great gathering and a grand time. Please join us ... get your registrations in early (as a matter of fact send them now if possible!) and don't leave yourself open to regret for missing this 30th Class Reunion!

REGRETS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED FOR THIS CLASS!!!
